Rights & Responsibilities of Network Members

Rights:

  1. Access to Resources: Members have the right to access the resources, support services, and educational opportunities provided by the CanMex Health Network to enhance their professional development and practice.
  2. Participation in Decision-Making: Members have the right to participate in decision-making processes within the CanMex Health Network, including voting on matters affecting network policies, governance, and strategic direction.
  3. Professional Development: Members are entitled to opportunities for professional development, including access to continuing education, training programs, and networking events to support their growth and advancement in their respective fields.
  4. Fair Treatment: Members have the right to be treated fairly, respectfully, and without discrimination or harassment in all interactions within the CanMex Health Network, regardless of their background, identity, or beliefs.
  5. Confidentiality: Members have the right to expect confidentiality and privacy with regard to their personal and professional information shared within the CanMex Health Network, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Adherence to Standards: Members are responsible for adhering to the standards of practice, code of ethics, and policies established by the CanMex Health Network, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in their practice.
  2. Continuous Learning: Members are responsible for engaging in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in their field, enhance their skills and knowledge, and improve patient care outcomes.
  3. Collaboration: Members are expected to collaborate effectively with colleagues, interdisciplinary teams, and other stakeholders within the CanMex Health Network, fostering a culture of teamwork, communication, and mutual respect.
  4. Compliance with Regulations: Members must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements governing their practice, ensuring that they uphold the legal and ethical standards of healthcare delivery.
  5. Contribution to Community: Members are encouraged to contribute positively to the CanMex Health Network community and the broader healthcare community through active engagement, knowledge sharing, and participation in initiatives that promote health equity and social responsibility.
  6. Professional Conduct: Members are responsible for maintaining professional conduct and behavior at all times, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and respect for patients, colleagues, and the public in their interactions and communications.
